maybe they made it up, but on the subject of the poll. whic do you prefer?

personaly i will be flying in third person, unless the cockpit is just amazing or flying in 1st person gives some kind of benefit.

I chose first person cockpit (FOR GENIDES !!!)

I'm just far more used to playing this way from all the other space sims I played way back when they were still making them.

Also it makes you feel far more immersed in the game if you are viewing from the position of the pilot rather from the position of your guardian angel trailing behind.

X-Wing Alliance FTW!

:P I suppose I should have specified further. In one on one duels I use first person as I'm better in it. In op fights I use third person because it gives me the better range of vision.

I would fly 1st person with cockpit for general immersiveness, and the probably switch to 3rd person for PvP because it looks like you'd be gimped in cockpit view.

Looks like they will allow all types anyway so its cool.

thats what i was thinking sel. I think that 3rd person will give you a much better view of the space infront and around you.

one thing i liked about SWG was when you were flying through space you could use the mouse to move the camera back and forth altering your view from 1st person to 3rd and a few different ones in between the two.
