About the DXMS
DXMS, or the Deus Ex Mappers Society, was founded in late 2005
by a couple of simple, low skilled Deus Ex ambitious minds,
obsessed with the ideals of making Deus Ex more exciting by
giving their own personal additions to the mapping community.
The member base started increasing slowly, but now we have a group of dedicated members.
Not just mappers, but map designers aswell , each producing
their own additions, along with past works from ex-members to
the community. Several map packs have been released for the DX
community, along with new music and textures to suit.
We like to think that our maps provide a realistic, but welcome
change to the monotony of the currunt DXMP community. Obsessed with constantly playing
on the same servers and the same maps. The monotony of Smuggler on repeat over and over
again can sometimes get too much.
The players experience can be changed into something that reveals the
mind behind the map - a mapper's care and attention, poured into a
small map over hours of work, giving change to how the average Deus
Ex map should look like, and opening the door for new ideas and
possibilities through a friendly environment and haven for all
mappers wishing to share and contribute to the DX community.
Both our forums and this website include help sections, screenshots of previous maps,
and tutorials on how to get started with your own map, including
the tools needed to download before hand, and a few extras.
Throughout the duration of the community, one goal has been idolised
for our members to strive for..
